Oxford police investigate home invasion robbery

The Oxford Police Department is looking for two men responsible for a home invasion robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:23 p.m., Oxford police officers were dispatched to Oxford Square Apartments on West Jackson Avenue for a reported burglary.

When officers arrived, they met with the witnesses who said two black males knocked on the door to the apartment and when the homeowner opened the door, the two suspects pushed their way inside. Once inside, the suspects had handguns and ordered everyone to the living room. The suspects took the victims money, bags, cell phones and a laptop. After, they fled on foot toward Hathorn Road.

The two suspects were described as tall, about 6-foot, slender and one suspect had on an orange Houston Astros baseball jersey and the other had on a blue basketball jersey.

No one was injured during the robbery.
