William Cole Lawrence, 15, passed away in Oxford, Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Cole was born and raised in Oxford.  He was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, hand grabbling and anything to do with the outdoors.  Cole was a member of the Lafayette High School FFA, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, The North Mississippi Hand Grabbling Association, and The Mississippi Hand Grabbling Association.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 22, 2017, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 2 p.m. at North Oxford Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Denmark Church Cemetery.  Bro Ken Hanks and Bro. Bobby Snow will officiate.

He is survived by his parents, Toby Lawrence and Amy Lawrence of Oxford; three sisters, Amber Lawrence, Macy Lawrence, and Mary Jo Lawrence, all of Oxford; two grandfathers, Leo Lawrence of Batesville and Larry Slone of Morehead, Kentucky; one grandmother, Marilyn Slone of Morehead, Kentucky; one nephew, Bryar Lawrence of Oxford; and one uncle, Billy (Katherine) Slone of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ramolia Lawrence.
