OXFORD — Josephine “Jo” J. Hardy, 86, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 1 p.m. until service time at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Walt” Hardy; sister Genese Kirk and a brother, Gerald Jones.

She is survived by daughters Lori Thomas and Libby Harris, both of Water Valley; son Walter Hardy III, of Tula; sisters Shirley “Margaret” Green of Cordova, Tennessee and Barbara York of Somerville, Tennessee; brother Charles Jones of Lufkin, Texas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
