The EAGLE has filed a public records request for the police report, but Luke said he decided on a one-game suspension after gathering facts on the incident and talking to the players and their families.

“There is a price you have to pay,” Luke said. “We still love them. They’re both great kids, but when you do make a mistake, there are going to be consequences. They know there is going to be accountability.”

Luke said Webster and Bing-Dukes will also be required to do some community service, but both players will still be allowed to practice when the Rebels open training camp Wednesday night.
