Mrs. Alberta Thompson-Herod, 88, died Friday, August 11, 2017.

She is formerly of Abbeville, MS.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Brown Chapel.

A.M.E. Church, with burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Joliet, IL;  Minor-Morris.
