Ole Miss’ D.K. Metcalf brings in Shea Patterson’s fifth touchdown pass of the game, this one from 2-yards out. With that pass, Patterson set a school record of 483 yards in a single game, topping previous record holder Chad Kelly with his 465 yards against Auburn in 2016. Ole Miss 45, UT Martin 23. 9:25 4th Quarter.

After a blocked UT Martin punt, Ole Miss takes advantage of the short field and scores four plays later for their first lead of the game. Patterson hit Brown for a two-yard touchdown pass. Ole Miss 17, UT Martin 16 :24 2nd Quarter

Ole Miss cuts into the UT Martin lead with a 27-yard Wunderlich field goal. Rebels nearly had a touchdown but DeMarkus Lodge could not come down with the catch in the corner of the endzone. UT Martin 16, Ole Miss 10 3:59 2nd Quarter

Tackling has become a major issue for Ole Miss and UT Martin is taking full advantage. The Skyhawks’ Ladarius Galloway ran 59 yards to the Ole Miss two yard-line and then Marquez Grayson finished it off with a the rushing touchdown. UT Martin 16, Ole Miss 7 6:45 2nd Quarter

Ole Miss got into the UT Martin red zone but had a touchdown run called back for holding. Patterson then slipped and fell for a loss. The drive was capped by a missed 37-yard field goal attempt from Gary Wunderlich went it hit off the left upright. UT Martin 9, Ole Miss 7 10:12 2nd Quarter

Third time was the charm for the Rebels, as they find pay dirt on their third possession. Shea Patterson makes up for this interception on the previous drive and hits AJ Brown for 59 yards to get on the scoreboard. UT Martin 9, Ole Miss 7 :41 1st Quarter

Ole Miss’ second possession ended prematurely when Shea Patterson had his pass picked off by UT Martin’s Tae Martin. The Skyhawks take advantage by kicking a 23-yard field goal to extend their lead. UT Martin 9, Ole Miss 0 1:43 1st Quarter.

The defense showed up during UT Martin’s second possession. Stuffing the Skyhawks’ drive near midfield and forcing a punt. Ole Miss will start their second drive at their 12 yard-line UT Martin 6, Ole Miss 0 5:32 1st Quarter.

The first offensive drive for Ole Miss went just as bad as their defensive one did. The Rebels went three & out after running back Jordan Wilkins could not turn the corner on a short third down and was tackled for a loss. Rebels punted it away UT Martin 6, Ole Miss 0 9:43 1st Quarter.

The opening drive defensively could not have gone worse for Ole Miss. UT Martin gashed them for 49 yards rushing and 31 yards through the air. The Skyhawks capped the drive with a two-yard run by quarterback Troy Cook. UT Martin 6, Ole Miss 0 10:48 1st Quarter.

Ole Miss will try to improve to 2-0 today against FCS member Tennessee Martin at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The game will begin at 11 a.m. and can be seen on the SEC Network.

The Rebels (1-0) won the only other matchup between the teams, 76-3, in 2015. UT Martin (1-0) defeated Clarion 36-0 in its opener.
