According to Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Joey Miller, at about 9 p.m. Saturday, a 2010 Peterbilt log truck driven by Timmy Colclasure of Water Valley, was turning from Highway 9 onto Highway 7 when a 2007 Jeep traveling on Highway 7 rammed into the back of the truck.

The driver of the Jeep, Justin Person, 29, of Taylor died at the scene of the wreck, according to Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy.

Person was married to Kelly Person and the couple had a 4-week-old baby.

The wreck is still under investigation.
