The Oxford Police Department received a report of a stolen car from a residence on Old Taylor Road Saturday and subsequently, received four reports of vehicle burglaries in the same area the car was stolen.

Later on Saturday, Jacquavis Williams, 20, was stopped in Plantersville, where he lives, while driving the reported stolen vehicle. Police searched the vehicle and discovered property reported stolen from the earlier vehicle burglaries. He was brought to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $25,000 bond.
