Dorothy Ann Pittman West, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 on her 89th birthday, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS in Oxford, MS. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Born in Smith County, MS, to the late William Baxter and Mary Birdie Clark Pittman, Mrs. West was a retired medical office manager. She was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church. She had a tremendous love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband, Arnol West.

Mrs. West is survived by her daughters, Shannon Moffett (Larry) of Oxford, MS, Margaret Angelo (Chip) of Vicksburg, MS and Paula Sekul (Ron) of Covington, LA; son, Andy West (Leah) of Madison, MS; seven grandchildren, Taylor Thornhill (Stephanie), Alex Moffett (Melissa), Sam Moffett (Taylor), Elizabeth Curtis (Cory), Olivia Sekul, Braden West and Jackson West and one great grandchild, Madeline Claire Moffett.
