Mr. Donald Long, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. A memorial service for Mr. Long will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church of Grenada, at 11 a.m. Pastor Jonathan Moore will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Long was born in Los Angeles, CA. He worked as a businessman in the food industry. He was a past president of the American Egg Board, a member of the 20th Century Round Table of Los Angeles, a past president of the Bruin Bench, a member of the Sanders Single Wingers, and a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne, FL. He played collegiate football for the UCLA Bruins and remained one of their biggest supporters through the years.

Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Long of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Allison (Jonathan) Moore of Grenada, MS, and Victoria (Kelly) Long of Denver, CO; three sons, Christopher (Anne) Long of Monrovia, CA, Timothy J. (Debbie) Long of Woodland, CA, and Andrew Long of Sacramento, CA; seven grandsons, Benjamin Moore, Jesse Moore, Nick Long, Jackson Long, Steven Mitchell, Aidan Moore, and Tristan Moore; seven granddaughters, Emily (Trevor) Kimball, Charlotte Long, Mackenzie Long, Jennifer Moore, Bethany Moore, Abby Long, and Olivia Long; and one sister, Susan (Ambassador Anthony C.) Quainton of Washington, D.C.

Mr. Long is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Long and Theresia Long; and one sister, Theresia Jane Cunningham.
