Kathleen Barnes of Carrie Bradhsaw Lied, and Jennifer Palpallatoc of Haute Off the Rack, are currently accumulating more than 560,000 Instagram followers combined. While their goal is to keep their followers educated on new brands and trends, their styles are both budget-friendly and chic.

“They both have a huge following among college-age girls and are a wonderful example of class and style,” Jacqueline Homes, President of Frock Fashions said.

Holmes says that her clothing store has never hosted a meet and greet before and is excited to help share these success stories that she believes are important for people to hear.

“So many young women suffer from low self-esteem and worry about finding their way once they leave college,” Holmes said. “We need to serve up as many examples of success and stories of women who enjoy their careers as possible.”

Barnes has strong ties with Oxford due to her alumni status as an Ole Miss Rebel, sharing her excitement on a recent blog post “So if you are an Ole Miss girl or live in Oxford, I would love to meet you!!”

Shannon Burns, the manager of Frock in Oxford, was able to get in contact with Palpallatoc thanks to her cousin who is friends with the popular blogger who lives in New Orleans.

“It was quite an honor to have them want to come do something in Oxford,” Holmes said. “We just felt like it was a great opportunity to show how successful women can be in the fashion/style industry incorporating social media and blogging.”

Holmes says that Frock will use this event to also kick off the re-launching of their website.

“We search the country to bring in lines that are exclusive to Frock yet very affordable for the average college student,” Holmes said. “Customer service is a priority at Frock and we are hands-on to help our customers find the perfect look no matter the occasion.”

The meet and greet will include refreshments, treats and will give customers a chance to browse the newest fall fashion trends while putting Oxford on the map as a shopping destination.

“We are hoping for an evening of fun and to show off what a wonderful town we have here in Oxford,” Holmes said. “It’s going to be a great time so everyone needs to join us and show Kathleen and Jennifer some great Oxford hospitality.”
