The clothing store was not only lined with new fall inventory on the racks, but with girls waiting to mingle with the bloggers about their success. Frock also celebrated the re-launch of their website with champagne and cupcakes for attendees.

“Their style is so achievable,” Taylor Cook,” Frock employee said. “Both of their blogs are so visually appealing but unique in their own way. We are hoping to take notes and make our website emulate our own style like they do.”

When asked how long they spend on a single blog post, Palpallatoc stated that she spends hours and that “people don’t realize how much works goes into each post, from scheduling with photographers to planning what you will wear, there is a lot of work behind the scenes for one blog post.”

Before Barnes began blogging, she said that she started her blog out of a pure love and passion for style as well. Barnes stated that the skills and qualities she thinks are necessary to succeed as a professional blogger are patience, consistency and passion.

“I really believe in the power of the subconscious,” Barnes said. “It doesn’t necessarily mean reading other blogs or scrolling Instagram all the time, that way I can focus on creating original content that stems from inspiration around me.”

Palpallatoc stated that before she began her blogging career she was attending college at LSU, but found that her true passion was for well, fashion. She began her blog after dropping out of college and stated: “a number of opportunities presented themselves that I couldn’t let slide.”

Mary Grace Crumpton, a “fangirl” of the bloggers stated she was excited to learn something new about the bloggers.

“It was so cool to meet someone as well known as them,” Crumpton said. “They were so down to earth and genuinely cared about everyone that was there to see them.”

President of Frock Fashions, Jacqueline Homes, stated that she was pleased by the turnout and enjoyed meeting the popular bloggers.

“I am so glad that Frock put this event on,” Crumpton said. “Meeting one of my favorite bloggers was something I had wanted to check off my bucket list.”
