Doors of Hope fundraiser a great way to give back

We appreciate Doors of Hope, the non-profit organization that helps families in dire need get back on the feet. And we love the many great homes in Oxford.

That’s why we are particularly excited about the upcoming Holiday House Tour that Doors of Hope is hosting on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

With all funds going to help with the mission of Oxford’s Doors of Hope, which involves “guiding homeless families and at-risk homeless families in Lafayette County toward self-reliance and stability,” the walking tour of homes during the holiday season is a treat.

Six homes in Oxford’s South Lamar Historic District will be featured, fully decorated for the holidays to help raise funds for this worthy cause.

Homes on the tour include the Hobbs/Edge home (South 11th); the Lewis home/Shadowlawn (South 11th); the Myers home (Fillmore); the Terry Home (South Lamar) and the Zeleskey home (South Lamar).

The mix of wonderful homes provides the perfect setting for an Oxford tour. We appreciate the homeowners, and we appreciate the mission of Doors of Hope. So, we can’t think of a better way to do something uniquely Oxford this holiday season.

Tickets for the December 2 home tour at $20 and can be purchased online at http://doorsofhopeoxford.org.
