Anthony Edward Morris, 17, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. The funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, Dec. 14, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Jackson, Miss., to Summer Powell Jones, Jr. and the late Debra Kay Freeman, Anthony was a student at Lafayette High School. He enjoyed reading and had a great interest in Greek Mythology.

Survivors include his parents, Summer and Melissa Jones of Abbeville, Miss.; sister, Tiffany Morris of Water Valley, Miss.; brothers, Jeffery and Justin Morris of Batesville, Miss. and Nathan Freeman of Monticello, Miss.; step-brothers, Andrew and Chace Goodwin of Abbeville, Miss. and Logan Brandon, of Abbeville, Miss. and grandfather, Summer Jones, Sr. of Oxford, Miss.

Memorial contributions in Anthony’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
