Patricia Garrison James, 74, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.   

Born in Oxford, Miss., to the late Daniel Webster and Grace Alvis Garrison, Mrs. James was a retired Registered Nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Known to everyone as Mee Mee, her greatest joy was her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed many arts and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Harold James of Oxford, Miss.; daughter, Kathy Sneed and her husband, David of Oxford, Miss.; sister, Mary Katherine Hemphill of Oxford, Miss.; grandchildren, Paige Baker and her husband, John of Oxford, Miss., Brittany Sneed of Oxford, Miss., Wes Sneed and his wife, Ali of Oxford, Miss., and great-grandchildren, Riley Baker, Reed Baker, Reagan Baker, Liam Sneed and Hadley Grace Sneed, all of Oxford, Miss.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. James’ memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
