What they’re saying nationally about Ole Miss’ crop of early signees

Ole Miss’ work on the recruiting trail Wednesday didn’t go unnoticed.

The Rebels inked 15 players during college football’s inaugural early signing period, including their top-ranked commit in U.S. Army All-American quarterback Matt Corral. Ole Miss started the day with 12 verbal commitments, signing 10 of them, and flipped four-star receiver Elijah Moore from Georgia. Ole Miss later pulled off an in-state flip from rival Mississippi State with the signing of Callaway High three-star defensive end James Williams — one of five defensive linemen to ink with the Rebels.

Ole Miss finished by adding a pair of its top uncommitted targets in Coffeyville Community College three-star linebacker Vernon Dasher, an NJCAA first-team All-American, and St. Clair County (Alabama) four-star lineman Jalen Cunningham, who will begin his college career on defense. Six signees were rated a four-star prospect by at least one recruiting service.
