Bernadine “Bernie” Curtis, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford, Miss. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral home with visitation at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Dr. Bob Curtis and Dr. Gary Richardson will officiate.

Born in St. Louis, Mo, to Thomas and Bessie Bean White, Mrs. Curtis is the widow of James Raymond Curtis. Bernie was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church in Oxford, Miss., and she was a church pianist in various churches throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and took great joy in her family. While she was living at Oxford Health and rehab, she played the piano for the Monday Bible Study/Sing Along.

Mrs. Curtis is survived by her daughter, Linda Taylor and her husband David of Oxford, Miss. Sons, Donald “Don” Curtis and his wife Jeanie of Plano, Texas and Dr. Bob F. Curtis and his wife Debbie of Olive Branch, Miss. Grandchildren, Donna Wilmoth, Kim Waltrip, Sharon Stinson, Karen Cassada, Jen Bourbonais, and Joel Curtis. Great-grandchildren, Allie, Emily, Audrey, Savannah, Taylor, Lindsee, Carter, Brooks, and Beckett. She is preceded in death by her sister, Bernice Benson.
