Ms. Anna Calhoun, 78, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at her home in Water Valley, Miss. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Calhoun was born in Seattle, Wash. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. Mrs. Calhoun was a very creative person, who loved to color and embroider. Ms. Calhoun was extremely excited to meet her new great-grandbaby; however, her family knows that she is just as excited to be the child’s new guardian angel.

Ms. Calhoun is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Wesley) Lee of Water Valley; two brothers, John Goldman of Clovis, N.M., and William Goldman of Cali.; a step-daughter, Wanda Oliver of New Hebron, Miss.; two grandsons, Charles Barnett and Jay W. Lee, both of Water Valley; three granddaughters, Kristal (Brandon) Bailey of Decatur, Miss., Amanda (James) Shepherd of Robert, La., and Jennifer Authement of Tickfaw, La.; Seven great-granddaughters, Avangeleen Barnett, Caitlynn Barnett, Jaycie Knight, Abagail Shepherd, Taylor Shepherd, Kaylee Miller, Jordyn Miller; and four great-grandsons, James Knight, James Shepherd, Brody Miller, Cole Smith.

Ms. Calhoun was preceded in death by her mother and father, W.A. and Rose Goldman; and her ex-husband Smith Calhoun.

Donations and memorials in honor of Mrs. Anna Calhoun may be made to the donor’s choice of Kindred Hospice (680 South Fourth St. Louisville, KY 40202) or to the American Lung Cancer Society (P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123).

The family asks that due to Mrs. Calhoun’s love for plants, all condolences sent from a florist be potted plants instead of flowers.
