Mr. Robert Wesley Salmon, 71, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, at his home in Water Valley, Miss. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at 3 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Garden of Memories of Oxford in Oxford, Miss. Bro. Jeff Taylor will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Salmon was born in Salisbury, Md. He was described as an avid outdoorsman. However, Mr. Salmon enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Mr. Salmon is survived by his wife, Peggy Salmon of Water Valley; one daughter, Anna (Jeff) Edwards of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; five grandsons, Wesley Salmon and Steven Salmon, both of Oxford, and Jacob Edwards and Tyler Edwards, both of Muscle Shoals, Nicholas Salmon of Flagstaff, Ariz.; two Granddaughters, Faith Salmon and Brooke Salmon, both of Flagstaff, Ariz.

Mr. Salmon was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Salmon and Vernon Salmon; and his son, Bob Salmon.

In honor of Mr. Robert Salmon’s service to our country, the flag of the United States Air Force will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home.
