Happy New Year, Oxford!

Today is the first day of what’s going to be a fabulous year.

Many individuals have made resolutions. Some want to lose weight. Some want to earn more money. Some want to spend more time with loved ones.

All are causes worth pursuing, as long as the end result is rooted in good cause. But one thing we have learned is that the New Year is merely an effective marking and motivation tool. The only way results are achieved is through a slow and steady life change.

Today and tomorrow are just the first steps to what should become a long journey.

It’s the same way great communities are built. Nothing happens overnight. We have to have a good plan, plenty of caring people working together, and skilled carpenters to effectively lay one brick after another.

But there is no better time to resolve than the New Year. After all, we can’t effectively see our flaws without both aspiring and trying to do good. It’s in that work that we see where improvements can be made.

In other words, we get an “A” for effort because the effort is a great teacher.

So, Happy New Year, Oxford. Here’s to your resolve. Here’s to our resolve.

May 2018 be everything we hope and dream.
