Mrs. Sadie E. Tallie, 64, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at 1 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rock Hill M.B. Church Cemetery. Rev. John Jones will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tallie was born in Tallahatchie County, Miss. She was a member of Junior Baptist Church in Tippo, Miss., for many years. Mrs. Tallie also served as an usher and secretary for the church. She was described as a churchgoing woman, who loved her Lord and Savior more than anything. She loved dipping her snuff and chewing her tobacco while visiting with her family and working on her crossword puzzles. Above all, she was an amazing wife and sister, and she will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Tallie is survived by her husband, Walter Tallie of Oxford; her sister, Katherine Williams of Charleston, Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Tallie was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Williams and Lucinda Williams.
