Frances Bassi DeVoe, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. The funeral mass will be held Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Father Joe Tonos officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home prior to the service.

Born in Rosedale, Miss., to the late Armando and Amedea Oltremari Bassi, Mrs. DeVoe was a retired bank officer and a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garner Hull DeVoe and ten brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Toni Lynn DeVoe of Highland, Texas; sons, Richard L. DeVoe and his wife, Ann of Oxford, Miss., and John Garner DeVoe and his wife, Donna of Lexington, Ky.; sister, Elsie Asa of Roundrock, Texas and four grandchildren, Ivy Elisabeth DeVoe of Lexington, Ky., Garner Regel DeVoe of Lexington, Ky., Mary Frances DeVoe of Nashville, Tenn., and Ellen Apperson DeVoe of Oxford, Miss.
