Funeral services for Callie James Vance, 79, of Holcomb, are at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery at Rosebloom.

Visitation is Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Mortimer National Funeral Home.

Callie died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at her home.

She was born on June 21, 1938 in Lafayette County and was the daughter of the late George Calvin James and Mattie Davis James.

Callie was formerly employed by Irvin Industry as an assembly line worker. She was a member Holcomb Baptist Church and the Cancer Support Group of Grenada.

Callie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Gilbert Vance; one sister, Dulcie James Goodwin; and two brothers, Lyndon Reid James and George William James.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Gentry (Kent) of Water Valley, Mary Hester (Jimmy) of Grenada, and Lottie Leigh Dill (Jacob) of Holcomb; one son, William Calvin “Bud” Vance (Lovell) of Holcomb; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Holcomb Baptist Church in Holcomb.
