Mr. Kevin Lee Summar, 41, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Visitation will be Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Bro. Joe Lusby will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Summar was born in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis and the Boy Scouts of Memphis. He was also able to compete in the Special Olympics throughout the years. Mr. Summar absolutely loved anything and anyone who he came in contact with. He always wanted to help others in any way he could, and he seemed to have the ability to brighten even the darkest of days.

Mr. Summar leaves behind his mother, Betty Sue Summar of Holly Springs, Miss.; two half-sisters, Laurie Brinkmeyer of Destin, Fla., and Cathy Flynn of Cookville, Tenn.; three aunts, Betty Hess of Paris, Tenn., Lela Finney of Nettleton, Miss., and Linda (Danny) Weatherly of Pontotoc, Miss.; two uncles, George (Judy) Jackson of Southaven, Miss., and Bobby (Evelyn) Jackson of Memphis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Summar was preceded in death by his father, Lee Summar; his grandmothers, Arlin Jackson and Rosie Summar; his grandfathers, Clarence Jackson and Ray Summar; and two uncles, James Finney and Billy Jackson.

The family of Mr. Summar would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the North Mississippi Regional Center and Baptist Memorial Hospital for their constant love, care, and support throughout the years.
