Ole Miss dipped into Texas to add to its 2019 recruiting class Friday.

The Rebels landed a commitment from Hirschi High (Wichita Falls, Texas) defensive tackle Lloyd Murray Jr., who announced his verbal pledge with a post to his Twitter account. Murray, a consensus three-star prospect, chose Ole Miss over offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon and Tennessee among others.

The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Murray is rated the nation’s No. 87 defensive tackle prospect and the No. 177 recruit in Texas in the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s the 10th commitment in the Rebels’ class and third defensive lineman, joining Meridian three-star defensive end Jamond Gordon and Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Tariqious Tisdale.
