Ole Miss’ athletic programs posted the highest Academic Progress Rate in school history with a four-year average of 989 in the annual ratings released by the NCAA on Wednesday.

The APR is a gauge of academic progress calculated by each Division I school’s teams annually. The multi-year average is based on scores from the 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 academic years.

Ole Miss’ multi-year APR is four points higher than last year’s score and six points higher than the national average of 983. Teams must have an APR of at least 930 to be eligible for the postseason. Ole Miss is appealing a postseason ban for football next season as part of the penalties stemming from the NCAA’s recent investigation.

Eleven of the Rebels’ 16 sports posted perfect single-year scores of 1,000. Men’s golf and women’s tennis posted perfect multi-year scores.

“Our student-athletes have committed to the hard work that it takes to be champions in the classroom as well as on the courts and fields,” Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development Derek Cowherd said in a statement. “We are so very proud of their work ethic and thankful for faculty and staff, as well as those in the athletic department who support them in their quest for excellence.”
