Amey Lee Martin Hollowell, 93, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at noon at Anchor Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Shipp Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. until service time. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born to the late Esker Floyd and Irene Williams Martin, Mrs. Hollowell was retired from the Big Yank Corporation in Water Valley, where she worked for 32 years. She was a lifetime member of Anchor Baptist Church and was an active participant in their Joyful Generations Quilting group. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary Post 4100 in Water Valley. Mrs. Hollowell found great joy in working in her yard, watching hummingbirds and cooking.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van Buren Hollowell; daughter, Deborah Williams; brother, Jimmy Martin and granddaughter, Heather Williams.

She is survived by her son, George Hollowell and his wife, Mee Lee “Mary” of Water Valley; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
