Regions Bank of Oxford has appointed Christopher Steiner as its newest City President.

Steiner, a Germantown, Tenn. native, earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi. He and his wife, Hattie, moved back to Oxford in 2015 with their two children.

“We love Oxford It’s home. We wanted to raise our family here,” Steiner said. “It’s a great community and a growing community, at that.”

A banking industry veteran with more than eight years of experience, Steiner previously served as a Business Banking Relationship Manager and a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager for Regions. He also served for five years as a Business Banking Relationship Manager for Wells Fargo Bank in Denver, Colo.

Over the years, he said, Regions Bank’s main goal has been putting customers first. It’s something he said he hopes to continue as City President.

“Everything we do is for the customer. That’s our main focus,” he said. “It’s part of our culture, and we’ve got a great team in town that makes it a number one priority.”

In his new role, Steiner said he hopes to bring Regions to the forefront of the community, and help new business owners as they navigate the financial sector.

His responsibilities will include supporting the bank’s business plan by developing new consumer and commercial banking customers while serving and expanding the bank’s existing customer base, according to a recent news release.

Regions Bank has three locations in Oxford, on the Square, University Avenue and Jackson Avenue.
