More Rebels are finding themselves on preseason watch lists. Greg Little is the most recent to see his name, being selected to the Outland Trophy watch list.

Little, a junior offensive tackle, is one of 82 players on the initial watch list for the Outland Trophy presented by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, the Football Writers Association of America announced on Tuesday. This is the first year of a partnership with the NFID to present the Outland Trophy as part of a public awareness campaign focused on the importance of influenza prevention during the 2018-19 flu season.

Since arriving at Ole Miss two seasons ago, Little has played at left tackle in every game.

The Outland Trophy is named after John H. Outland and is awarded to the best interior lineman in college football. Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver is back on the list after becoming the first sophomore to win the award since its inception in 1946.

Former Wisconsin and Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas is serving as the Outland Trophy ambassador and will present the award to the 2018-19 winner during the Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 6. The awards ceremony will take place at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta and will air on ESPN.
