The Oxford Police Department responded to the Archive Apartment Complex at 4 a.m. on July 19 after receiving a report of an armed robbery.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Patrick Whitt, 31 of Oxford. Whitt was arrested later that day and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. Whitt was given a bond of $20,000 by a Justice Court Judge. This is an ongoing investigation.
