Mrs. Ethel Peters, 94, passed away Aug. 16, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi  Hospice Care in Oxford.

She was a native of Cherokee, Ala. and she spent her later years in Oxford and Water Valley.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jaime Ridge. She is survived by a sister, Era H. Hawkins, a son, James T. Ridge (Kaye) and daughter Ellen Williams (Charlie). She is survived by three grandchildren, Nicholas Ridge, Robert Lomenick Jr. (Sarah Rose) and  John Travis Lomenick (Megan) and two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Jules.

She was beloved by her family, including many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Peters, an avid reader, passed her love of literature to her children and grandchildren. Her wit and humor will be missed by those who knew her.
