Martha Yerger André died peacefully Aug. 7, 2018, in Oxford with her family by her side.

Born Jan. 16, 1933, Martha was the daughter of Maye and George Sizer Yerger of Mound, La.

She is survived by her daughter Sigrid Goodspeed of Oxford; her son Yerger André (Laura Johnson) of Oxford; her daughter Sarah André  (Jason Neulander) of Austin, Texas; her sister Elizabeth Wray (the late Dan Wray) of Ocala, Fla. and their children Catherine, Jennifer and James; her brother George Yerger (Betty Ann) of Heber Springs, Ark; her sister and brother-in-law Sigrid and Jack Conway of Jackson, as well as six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at 11 a.m.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
