Hilda Giles Sims of Meridian, Miss., died Oct. 24, 2018 at the age of 101. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Evans of Meridian and son John Sims on Oxford, as well as grandchildren Gary Sims, of Batesville, Miss and April Thrash of Meridian, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 26 from noon to 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home in Meridian. Graveside services will be at Pine Crest Cemetery in Dekalb, Miss.
