Mr. Peter Stanley Playfor, 65, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs, Miss. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Playfor was an Englishman in Mississippi. He embraced the culture and loved his family on both sides of the pond. His bright light is now dimmed, and he will be greatly missed by his loving wife and family.
Mr. Playfor is survived by his wife, Sarah Louise Playfor of Oxford; three daughters, Sarah (Josh) Lavender of Hartlepool, England, Tammy (Rodney) Calhoun of Fremont, Ohio, and Wendy (Sean) Medling of Fla.; two granddaughters, Paxton Calhoun of Fort Leavenworth, Ks., and Bailey Hailey of Miss.; and five grandsons, Alfred Lavender and Charlie Packham, both of Hartlepool, Brady Calhoun of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Seth Conner and Erik Medling, both of Florida.
