Obituary – John O. Holland

John O. Holland, 70, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford, Mississippi is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holland was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan.  Mr. Holland devoted 40 years to driving truck. When he was not working, he was always riding his motorcycle.  He also loved playing pool and spending time with his friends. Mr. Holland was known to be an amazing family man.  Mr. Holland was a member of several biker organizations – The Dream Riders, The Diamondbacks, and The SBC Crew. He also served in the United States Army serving two tours in Vietnam.

Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, Emily Holland of Pontotoc, Mississippi; seven children; five step-children; 22 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty (Bud) Potts of Water Valley, Mississippi, Cloeita Haley of Memphis, Tennessee, and Anne Kneeshaw of Michigan; three brothers, Willard (Pat) Holland and David Holland both of Water Valley, Mississippi, and Robert Earl Holland of Prescott Valley, Arizona; and a host of nieces and nephews.
