Obituary – Carolyn Burns Hatfield

Mrs. Carolyn Burns Hatfield, 68, of Coffeeville, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her residence.  She was born December 28, 1950 in Grenada to Edward and Ruby Lee Wilson Burns.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Coffeeville Church of Christ.  Carolyn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Coffeeville Church of Christ.  Interment followed in the Forrest Memorial Park near Batesville.  The family received friends from 12:00 noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Chip Hatfield; one daughter, Brandi McCullough(Jason) of Coffeeville; one son, Carey File(Melissa) of Batesville; three grandchildren, Ben, Ab and Lucy Bea McCullough; three sisters, Betty Drewrey(Chester), Mary Deaton(Mike) and Jo Marquis, all of Oxford; three brothers, Lynn Burns(Vickie) of Oxford, Terry Burns(Wanda) of Water Valley and Cecil Burns of Oxford; one sister-in-law, Kimberly Joy of Heber Springs, AR; and 16 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers were Josh Bailey, Justin Bailey, Torrie Brown, Aaron Burns, Brandon Burns, Corey Burns, Robert Burns, Kevin Kennedy and Clark Pullen.

Memorials may be directed to the Sardis Lake Christian Camp, 176 4-H Club Rd., Batesville, MS 38606.
