Billy Joe Adamson, 85, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at his home in Batesville, Mississippi. The funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie South and Rev. Terry Floyd officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held following the service on Friday at 2 p.m. in Memory Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born in Lineville, Alabama to the late Felix Cumbie Adamson and Frances Yates Adamson, Mr. Adamson was a member of First Faith Baptist Church and was a Park Avenue Mason.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Adamson of Batesville, Mississippi; a daughter, Sheila Campbell and her husband, Dan, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a son, Douglas Adamson of Oxford, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Parker Adamson, Joel Adamson, Jennifer Weaver and Robin Forrester and three great-grandchildren, Hayden Weaks, Connor Weaks and Jack Forrester.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Adamson’s memory may be made to First Faith Baptist Church, 3254 Sardis Lake Drive, Batesville, MS 38606.
