Obituary – Carson Taylor Burcham

Carson Taylor Burcham, 22, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb.  16, 2019, at his mother’s residence. He was born in Alabaster, Alabama on November 24, 1996, to Dwight Burcham and Donna Crow Burcham Huggins.

He was a 2015 graduate of Tupelo High School where he participated in sports running cross country and playing rugby. He enjoyed playing soccer with his friends at Ballard Park. He was continuing his studies at the University of Mississippi where he was currently a sophomore. Carson was a huge sports fan of many sports, especially Ole Miss. He was a very adventurous young man. Carson was a devoted and loyal friend with a servant’s heart and a generous spirit. He was a man of few words, but his selfless actions and genuine nature had a lasting impact on his friends and family. He could make you laugh without ever uttering a word.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Charles Covington officiating. A private family burial will follow at East Mt. Zion Cemetery in Pratts community. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m.  to service time.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Huggins (Houston) of Tupelo, Mississippi; brothers, William Dixon of New Albany, Mississippi,  Wesley Burcham of Oxford, Mississippi ,and George Houston Huggins, III of Tupelo; grandparents, Carroll and Carolyn Crow of St. Joseph, Louisiana, and grandmother, Margaret Burcham of Saltillo, Mississippi; uncles, David Burcham of Saltillo and James Burcham (Tracy) of Auburn community, Christopher Crow (Heather) of New Orleans, Louisiana,  and Brion Crow (Anne-Kathryn) of Pensacola, Florida; cousins, Charles Burcham, Bryan Burcham, Parker, Brinson, Leyton, Prosser, and Katie-John Crow. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandfather, Charles Ray Burcham.

Pallbearers will be Jonte Amos, Kelvin Wilson, Wesley Burcham, Will Dixon, Kahleo Johnson, and George Houston Huggins, III.
