Peggy Mason, 95, died Friday, March 8, 2019, at Oxford Health & Rehab in Oxford, Mississippi.  The memorial service was held Monday, March 11, 2019, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Oxford with Rev. Robert Allen and Rev. Don Gann officiating. Burial was in Old Lebanon Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation was held in the Atrium at the church prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m.

 

Born in Corinth, Mississippi, to the late Falton O. Mason, Sr. and Eula Belle Black Mason, Ms. Mason was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Oxford where she taught Sunday School for about 30 years. She was the retired owner of Peggy’s Beauty Shop in Oxford. Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by niece, Amanda Mason Allison, and great niece Julia Mason.

 

She is survived by a brother, Falton O. “Sonny” Mason, Jr. and his wife, Cornelia, of Oxford; nieces and nephews, Thomas Parker Mason of Helena, Alabama, Lawson Langford and her husband, Adam, of Hoover, Alabama, Haley W. Mason of Memphis, Tennessee, Michael K. Mason and his wife, Lucinda, of Helena, Alabama, and Falton O. Mason, III and his wife, Mollie, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and great nephew and niece, Parker Allison of Trussville, Alabama,  and Elise Mason of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
