Obituary – Kyle Dean Harris

Kyle Dean Harris, 86, died Monday, March 25, 2019, at Hermitage Gardens in Oxford, Mississippi. The funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Dr. Buster Wilson and Rev. Fletcher Moorman officiating. Burial will follow in Kingdom Cemetery in Oxford. The visitation will be held Wednesday evening, March 27, 2019, at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Born in Lafayette County, Mississippi, to the late Clelon Eugene and Ada Holmes Harris, Airman First Class Harris served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Harris was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, where he formerly served as a deacon and in church mission work. He was also a Thirty-Second Degree Mason. Kyle Dean worked for the Range Air Corporation (formerly Chambers Corp.) for twenty-eight years and in maintenance for student housing at the University of Mississippi.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Myra Lynn Harris and brother, Luthur Lyles Harris. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Robbie Harris, of Oxford; daughters, Margie Kay Thibodeaux, and her husband, Paul, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Vicky Harris Johnson, and her husband, Mike, of Oxford; a son, Roy Dean Harris, and his wife, Margie, of Oxford; brothers, Ralph Harris of Southaven, Mississippi, and Freddie Harris of Oxford; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
