Willis Garland (Poppa) Gholson, 84, of Water Valley, Miss., died peacefully Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Veterans Home in Oxford, Miss. He was born December 21, 1934, in Water Valley to the late Willis and Willie Rubean (Madden) Gholson.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.  A second visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019,  with services immediately following in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Seven Oaks has been entrusted with arrangements.
