Andrew Leroy Turner, 51, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Batesville, Miss. A memorial service was held on Friday, June 14, 2019, at 4 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. John Coleman officiated. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Turner was born in Memphis, Tenn. He was a good-hearted man who was known for his strong work ethic. Mr. Turner worked on a towboat for a short while, but he dedicated most of his time to carpentry, becoming a very talented carpenter.

Mr. Turner is survived by his son, Lucas Turner, of Batesville; his father, Butch (Nancy) Turner, of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother, Anita Lanier, of Batesville; one brother, Kirby (Melanie) Turner, of Stowe, Vt.; one sister, Renay (Michael) Smith, of Batesville; one niece; and four nephews.
