Obituary – Kent L. Kinniburgh

Kent L. Kinniburgh, 80, died Friday, June 28, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Miss.  A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery with Anthony Williams officiating.  Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Richey, Mont., to the late Frank and Dorothea Whiteman Kinniburgh, Mr. Kinniburgh served his country in three branches of the military.  He began as a Marine and served in the Air Force before retiring from the United States Army. Following his military career, he worked for FedEx as an aircraft inspector. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Ruth Hodge; a brother, Ted Kinniburgh; and a sister, Elaine Thompson. Survivors include two sons, Brent Kinniburgh, and his wife, Andrea, of Pass Christian, Miss., and Kent Kinniburgh and his wife, Janice, of Water Valley, Miss.; a sister, April Wagar, of Kalispell, Mo.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Kinniburgh’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. In honor of Mr. Kinniburgh’s service to his country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Waller Funeral Home.
