Dan Mason, 81, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, in Oxford. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. 

He was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church, and he also was a member of the Civitan Club at one point. to enjoy coffee with his friends. He was known to be an amazing family man. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, father, and “Papaw.” Mr. Mason also served 9 years in the U.S. National Guard. 

Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Ann Mason, of Oxford; three daughters, Dana Mason, of Oxford, Tami (Chuck) Smith, of Cocoa, Fla., and Lori (Jim) Robinson, of Brandon, Miss.; one son, Jeff Mason, of Oxford; five granddaughters, Hannah Smith, of Orlando, Fla., Sarah Smith, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Kaci Robinson and Whitney Robinson, both of Brandon, and Veronica Mason, of Oxford; one grandson, Kyle Smith, of Cocoa; one great-granddaughter, Emma Hutchinson, of Cocoa Beach; four sisters, Hattie (Jerry) Perkins, Jessie (James) Faulkner, and Deborah (Randy) Johnson, all of Batesville, Miss., and Linda (Terry) Satchfield, of Southaven, Miss.; two brothers, Richard (Patsy) Mason and Roy Mason, both of Batesville; one sister-in-law, Glenda Mason, of Oxford; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In honor of Mr. Dan Mason’s service to our country, the flag of the United States National Guard will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home for the services.
