Charles Edward Burks Jr., 64, of Water Valley, Miss., died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford.

He was born October 16, 1954, in Arkansas to the late Charles Sr. and Irene Burks and worked as a handyman most of his life.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019. in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.  Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. Billy Childs officiating.
