Obituary – Homer Andrew Myers, Jr.

Homer Andrew Myers, Jr., 73, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, in Oxford. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr.  Meyers served 18 months in Vietnam in the United States Marine Corps. He then served 14 more years in the United States Army Corps. He and his family lived in Germany for 6 years and in El Paso, Texas, for 2 years, before settling in Oxford. After his service in the military, he trained students in driving trucks and transportation for over 30 years. 

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Vicki Myers, of Oxford; one daughter, Allison Myers, of Oxford; one son, Robert (Lily) Myers, of Brussels, Belgium; one grandson, Morgan Myers, of Oxford; one granddaughter, Gabi Myers, of Oxford; one great-granddaughter, Mattie Botts, of Gulfport, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
