Obituary – Nona “Sue” King Hiatt

Nona “Sue” King Hiatt, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Hammond, La. 

The funeral service will be Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Fish Robinson and Rev. David Bodenheimer officiating.  Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Lafayette County, Mrs. Hiatt was the widow of Mr. William Carl Hiatt and a retiree of the Oxford Hospital where she worked as an LPN for 25 years. She was a longtime member of North Oxford Baptist Church where she frequently enjoyed trips with her church family. She most enjoyed being with her friends and family and especially loved cooking for those she loved. She was an avid reader, a travel enthusiast, and a devoted grandmother. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hiatt was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Lyon.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Webb, of Nevada, and Joani Miller, and her husband, Donovan, of Hammond; five grandchildren, Mark Webb, of Nevada, Nikki Webb-Alger, and her husband, Jeremy, of Germany, Erin Lyon, and his wife, Anne, of Daphne, Ala., Zoe Miller, of Hammond, and Ron Webb, of Atlanta, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Caitlin Alger, of Germany, Emily Webb, of Atlanta, Ga., Maddie Lyon, of Dahpne, Ala. and Amelia Lyon of Daphne; and one great-great grandchild, Rosemary Chu of Atlanta, Ga.
