Obituary – Charles Thomas Bryant, Jr.

Charles Thomas Bryant, Jr., 60, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at his residence near Oxford. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.

 Born on May 6, 1959, in Searcy, Ark., to the late Elizabeth Virginia Rice and Charles Thomas Bryant, Sr., Charles was a retired Aquatic Entomologist/Biologist with the U.S. Government.  

He was a graduate of McClellan High School in Little Rock, Ark.  He received a graduate degree in Biology from Arkansas Tech and a Master’s degree in Aquatic Entomology from The University of Central Arkansas in Conway.  After moving to Lafayette County in 1999, he worked for the U.S. Government for 15 years as a biologist in Oxford.  Charles was a member of the Mississippi Sportsman Education Association and enjoyed all outdoors activities especially hunting, fishing, and hiking.  He was a loving brother and uncle.

 He is survived by his sister, Angela Langley, and her husband, Tom, of Louisville, Tenn., and two nieces, Brianna Langley, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Bianca Langley Huskey, and her husband, Ben, of Knoxville.
