J.T. Hughes, 82, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at his home in Oxford. A private family service will be held at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. 

He worked as a tool and die specialist at Whirlpool for 35 years. He was known to be an extremely hard worker. In his free time, he voluntarily picked up trash from the sides of the roads. 

Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Christine Hughes, of Oxford; and his daughter, Marianna Renee Hughes, of Oxford.
