Ole Miss Soccer Announces Five Signees to Class of 2020

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss head soccer coach Matt Mott has announced the signing of five standout freshmen to the Rebel roster, adding a talented crop of rookies to a veteran laden squad for the 2020 season.

Scouring the nation for the top soccer talent in the country, Ole Miss dipped into the talent pool in four states, bringing in players from Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. See below for more information on the Rebels’ five signees:

Ramsey Davis
F | Tulsa, Okla. | IMG Academy

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma … Helped lead BKHS to the Oklahoma 5A State Championship as a freshman as well as a state finals appearance as a sophomore … Named to the TopDrawerSoccer All-State team as a sophomore … Also named all-district, all-word and All-Vype Oklahoma sophomore year … Earned all-district honors as a freshman … Transferred to IMG Academy for junior season … 100 percent start rate as a senior … Team leader in assists … National Honor Society member.

CLUB/ODP: Played for IMG Academy Development Academy … Named to the ODP Regional Team.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Daniel and Dana Davis … Born November 1, 2001 … Plans on majoring in communications and taking the pre-med track.


Lucy Green
D | Meridian, Miss. | West Lauderdale

HIGH SCHOOL: A five-time letterwinner at West Lauderdale High School in Collinsville, Mississippi … Helped lead WLHS to the Mississippi 4A State Championship three of the last four years … Earned all-district honors in 2017, 2018 and 2019 … Selected to the East Central MS All-Star Team and the Premier Preps of East MS Soccer Team in 2019 … Scored 15 goals with 13 assists as a freshman … Tallied 12 goals and 10 assists during sophomore season … Scored five times while dishing out 10 assists during junior campaign … Also ran track … Named Miss West Lauderdale as a senior.

CLUB/ODP: Played at the club level for BUSA ECNL … Earned team captaincy … Selected to ECNL Players to Watch List … Tabbed to ECNL Under-17 Southeast All-Conference Team for 2018-19 season.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jim and Julie Green … Born March 2, 2002 … Has three siblings, Reed, Jack and Caroline.


Sydney Ham
MF/F | Memphis, Tenn. | Briarcrest Christian

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time letterwinner at Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis, Tennessee … Helped lead BCS to the Tennessee state championship in 2019 … Selected to the High School All-American Game … Named an Allstate All-American in 2018 and 2019 … Also named an All-Metro Best of Preps Player of the Year Candidate in 2018 and 2019 … A three-time THSSCA All-State and United Soccer Coaches All-South Region honoree … Named Tennessee Large Private School All-Region all four years … Scored a total of 81 goals with 33 assists in high school career … Also competed in track … National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Science Society and Mu Alpha Theta member.

CLUB/ODP: Played at the club level for Lobos Rush and Tennessee Soccer Club ECNL … Named to the Best XI team for the USYS National Championship … Helped team to USYS National Championship runner up finish after claiming the regional championship … Won back-to-back Tennessee State Championships in 2018 and 2019.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Steve and Rochelle Ham … Born December 1, 2001 … Has one sister, Sophie … Plans to major in exercise science.

D | Madison, Miss. | Jackson Prep

HIGH SCHOOL: A five-time letterwinner at Jackson Preparatory School in Flowood, Mississippi … Helped lead JPS to a pair of state championships … A two-time MAIS All-State standout in 2016 and 2017 … Has registered 39 goals and 25 assists in high school career … Tallied 19 goals and eight assists as a freshman … Bagged 11 goals and seven assists as a sophomore … Also a standout track athlete … Has helped JPS to four track state titles … Holds MAIS state records in both the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.

CLUB/ODP: Competed at the club level for MS Rush and BUSA ECNL.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jay and Leslie Loposer … Born September 14, 2001 … Has two brothers, Brock and Knox … Brother Knox is a catcher on the Rebel baseball team.


Abbie Rushwin
F |Frisco, Texas | Frisco

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time letterwinner at Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee … Transferred sophomore year to Frisco High School in Frisco, Texas … Helped HHS to a state and national championship in 2017 … Earned all-state, all-region and all-American honors in 2017 … Named First Team All-District in 2018 … Did not play high school soccer junior season, instead playing for the FC Dallas Development Academy … Made national semifinal appearance with FC Dallas in 2019 … National Honor Society member … academic all-district honoree.

CLUB/ODP: Did not play high school soccer junior season, instead playing for the FC Dallas Development Academy … Made national semifinal appearance with FC Dallas in 2019 … also played for the Lady Lobos, helping the team to a Tennessee State Championship in 2017.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Chris and Tracy Rushwin … Born August 1, 2002 … Has two siblings, Grace and Christopher … Has career plans of pursuing sports medicine with an emphasis on nutritional sciences.
